  1. 1. Methodologies for Non-aqueous Systems and Precipitating Systems as Carbon Capture Technologies : A case-study of AMP-NMP

    Author : Meher Sanku; Institutionen för kemiteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CO2 capture; non-aqueous; precipitating; thermodynamic model; crystallization kinetics;

    Abstract : In order to combat the effects of climate change, it is important to use a combination of solutions to achieve carbon neutrality as soon as possible. Carbon capture and sequestration is one such technology that can be used to significantly reduce the carbon footprint of many industrial plants. READ MORE

  2. 2. Chiral Separation of Amines by Non-Aqueous Capillary Electrophoresis using Low Molecular Weight Selectors

    Author : Ylva Hedeland; Curt Pettersson; Ulf Bondesson; Lars Blomberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Chiral Separation; Non-Aqueous Capillary Electrophoresis; Enantioresolution; Electro-osmotic Flow; Pharmaceuticals; Enantiomeric Amines; Low Molecular Weight Selector; Farmaceutisk kemi; Kemi med inriktning mot analytisk kemi; Chemistry with specialization in Analytical Chemistry; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Analytisk farmaceutisk kemi;

    Abstract : Three chiral selectors (diketogulonic acid, benzoxycarbonylglycylproline and ketopinic acid) have been introduced for enantioseparation of pharmacologically active amines in non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis. The use of organic solvents, instead of aqueous buffers in the background electrolyte facilitated ion-pair formation between the analytes and the chiral selectors. READ MORE

  3. 3. Precipitating Amine Absorption Systems for Carbon Capture

    Author : Hanna Karlsson; Institutionen för kemiteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CO2 capture; Non-aqueous; AMP; Solubility; Heat of absorption;

    Abstract : Carbon capture using amine-based absorption is an established technology for the separation of gaseous CO2. It is used in the upgrading of gaseous fuels, and it has also been suggested that it could play a crucial role in the mitigation of climate change through post-combustion carbon capture and sequestration (CCS), and by creating carbon sinks through bioenergy CCS. 4. 4. Non-aqueous Electrolytes and Interfacial Chemistry in Lithium-ion Batteries

    Author : Chao Xu; Torbjörn Gustafsson; Kristina Edström; Daniel Brandell; Brett Lucht; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Lithium-ion batteries; electrolyte; electrolyte additives; electrochemistry; interfacial chemistry; Kemi med inriktning mot materialkemi; Chemistry with specialization in Materials Chemistry;

    Abstract : Lithium-ion battery (LIB) technology is currently the most promising candidate for power sources in applications such as portable electronics and electric vehicles. In today's state-of-the-art LIBs, non-aqueous electrolytes are the most widely used family of electrolytes. READ MORE
