  1. 1. Lamb wave evaluation of concrete plates

    Author : Oskar Tofeldt; Teknisk geologi; []
    Keywords : Lamb waves; guided waves; impact-echo; concrete; non-destructive evaluation;

    Abstract : This thesis is about the application of Lamb waves for non-destructive evaluation of plate-like concrete structures under one-sided access test condition using a portable equipment consisting of an accelerometer and impact hammer. With this type of equipment and based on array signal processing, the impact-echo (IE) method can be extended with measurements of surface waves; this extension allows an evaluation with Lamb waves. 2. 2. On model assisted probability of detection in eddy current evaluation

    Author : Anders Rosell; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Eddy Current; Model Assisted Probability of Detection; Finite Element Modelling; Non-destructive Evaluation;

    Abstract : The goal of this work has been to investigate the possibility to use mathematical modelling to characterize the capability and reliability of automated eddy current (EC) inspections. EC evaluation is one of the most applied methods for non-destructive evaluation (NDE) and is studied within this work. READ MORE

  3. 3. In-situ assessment of density and material properties in timber structures by non-destructive and semi-destructive testing

    Author : Thomas Kruglowa; Chalmers University of Technology; []
    Keywords : X-ray; Vasa warship.; semi-destructive testing SDT ; density determination; non-destructive testing NDT ; calibration procedure; Keywords: In-situ assessment;

    Abstract : ABSTRACTIn the assessment of timber structures, diagnostic investigations of the structural members and connections are generally necessary. The assessment often requires appropriate non-destructive testing (NDT) and semi-destructive testing (SDT) techniques. READ MORE

  4. 4. Mechanics of Cross-Laminated Timber

    Author : Dietrich Buck; Olle Hagman; Dick Sandberg; Mats Ekevad; Mikael Sjödahl; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; CLT assembly; CLT manufacture; Crosslam; DIC analysis; Digital speckle photography; Full-field mechanics; Laminated wood product; Mass timber engineering; Non-contact measurement; Non-destructive; Optical measurement; Panel configuration; Strain localization; X-lam; Alternativ byggmetod; Bildkorrelation; Hållbart byggande; KL- trä; Korslimmat trä; Skjuvtöjning; Massivträ; Träkonstruktion; Träteknik; Wood Science and Engineering;

    Abstract : Increasing awareness of sustainable building materials has led to interest in enhancing the structural performance of engineered wood products. Wood is a sustainable, renewable material, and the increasing use of wood in construction contributes to its sustainability. READ MORE

  5. 5. Air and Water Tightness in Building Envelopes - Evaluation of Methods for Quality Assurance

    Author : Fredrik Gränne; KTH; []
    Keywords : Roofing; roof membrane; durability; waterproofing; leakage; wind-load; non-destructive testing; NDT; BSL4; BLS3; air leakage; building envelope;

    Abstract : The purpose of this work is to contribute to a process formaking buildings with good function and to avoid prematurefaults.The design, construction and installation of low-slopedroofs are important parts of creating a durable building. READ MORE
