1. Finite Element Modelling of Eddy Current Non-Destructive Evaluation in Probability of Detection Studies
Abstract : The goal of this work has been to evaluate the possibility to use mathematical modelling to characterize the capability and reliability of automated eddy current inspections. The safety in aerospace propulsion is critical. Components that are critical for the operation are therefore designed to withstand material degradation. READ MORE

2. Lamb wave evaluation of concrete plates
Abstract : This thesis is about the application of Lamb waves for non-destructive evaluation of plate-like concrete structures under one-sided access test condition using a portable equipment consisting of an accelerometer and impact hammer. With this type of equipment and based on array signal processing, the impact-echo (IE) method can be extended with measurements of surface waves; this extension allows an evaluation with Lamb waves. 3. Non-destructive assessment of additively manufactured objects using ultrasound
Abstract : Additive manufacturing (AM) enables the manufacturing of complex and tailored products for an unlimited number of applications such as aerospace, healthcare, etc. The technology has received a lot of attention in lightweight applications where it is associated with new design possibilities but also reduced material costs, material waste, and energy consumption. 4. On model assisted probability of detection in eddy current evaluation
Abstract : The goal of this work has been to investigate the possibility to use mathematical modelling to characterize the capability and reliability of automated eddy current (EC) inspections. EC evaluation is one of the most applied methods for non-destructive evaluation (NDE) and is studied within this work. READ MORE

5. In-situ assessment of density and material properties in timber structures by non-destructive and semi-destructive testing
Abstract : ABSTRACTIn the assessment of timber structures, diagnostic investigations of the structural members and connections are generally necessary. The assessment often requires appropriate non-destructive testing (NDT) and semi-destructive testing (SDT) techniques. READ MORE
