  1. 1. On the psychology of environmental policy and the influence of social norms

    Author : Emma Ejelöv; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; environmental policy; social norms; behavior intention; acceptability;

    Abstract : Current environmental challenges, such as greenhouse gas emissions and water pollution, are large-scale problems that will be difficult to solve without the intervention of governments or the coordinated cooperation of a large number of people. While governments can steer citizen behavior in a pro-environmental direction by the use of environmental policies, the implementation of such policies is often hindered by negative public opinion. 2. 2. Gait re-education in transfemoral amputees The training programme, gait analysis, oxygen consumption and coping

    Author : Catharina Sjödahl Hammarlund; Människan i rörelse: hälsa och rehabilitering; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Physical medicine; kinesitherapy; revalidation; rehabilitation; a psychologically conscious therapeutic approach; coping; energy cost; oxygen consumption; motion analysis; gait speed; amputees; training; gait re-education; Rehabilitering medicinsk och social ;

    Abstract : A gait re-education programme, combining physiotherapy with a psychologically conscious therapeutic approach, was applied to nine unilateral transfemoral amputees, whose amputation was caused by trauma or tumour. The participants trained once a week for a mean 10 months. The median age was 33 years (range 16– 51). READ MORE

  3. 3. Theoretical and Biochemical : Advancing Protein Structure Investigations with Complementing Computations

    Author : Maxim N. Brodmerkel; Erik G. Marklund; Carl Caleman; Charlotte Uetrecht; Helmut Grubmüller; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Molecular dynamics simulation; Protein structure; Structural biology; Protein hydration; Electric dipole; Collision Induced Unfolding;

    Abstract : Life as we know it today would not exist without proteins. The functions of proteins for us and other organisms are linked to their three-dimensional structures. As such, protein structure investigations are a crucial contribution for understanding proteins and the molecular basis of life. READ MORE

  4. 4. Wooden multi-storey construction market development in Sweden

    Author : Emil Nagy; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : The ongoing climate change is closely related to greenhouse gas emissions from industries. One of the contributors to these sustainability challenges is the house construction industry. Although residential and commercial construction is needed, the production practices needs to be altered in order to meet sustainability objectives. READ MORE

  5. 5. Applied estimation of piecewise constant parameters

    Author : Soheil Salehpour; Alexander Medvedev; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Reglerteknik; Control Engineering;

    Abstract : A time-varying linear system is a realistic description of many industrial processes, and nonlinear behavior can then also be accounted for. Then, we can consider a linear system with time-varying parameters as the model uncertainty, \emph{e.g.} an AR(X) model or an affine input-output approximation. READ MORE
