  4. 4. Nitrogen in soil water of coniferous forests

    University dissertation from Bokbox förlag

Author : Martin Rappe George; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet.; [2016]

Abstract : In boreal and temperate forests, long-term elevated nitrogen (N) load may eventually saturate forest ecosystems with N, i.e. total N ecosystem input exceed ecosystem sinks for N, and N losses via soil water transport may then increase and negatively impact environmental quality. 5. 5. Interactions between ectomycorrhizal associations and bacteria

    University dissertation from Bokbox förlag

Author : Srisailam Marupakula; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet.; [2016]

Abstract : Boreal forest podzol soils have vertically stratified horizons with different physico-chemical characteristics and high microbial diversity. Ectomycorrhizal fungi play key roles in accessing nutrients from both organic and mineral substrates. The role of associated bacteria in these processes is still poorly understood. READ MORE
