  1. 21. Integrating facilities management information

    Author : Kjell Svensson; KTH; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The purpose of the study was to develop suitable information structures to sup port main processes of facilities management (FM). The approach chosen to create these structures was to develop a generic FM process model and a building product model. READ MORE

  2. 22. Low-level analysis of microarray data

    Author : Henrik Bengtsson; Matematisk statistik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; programmering; aktuariematematik; Statistik; operationsanalys; Statistics; operations research; programming; actuarial mathematics;

    Abstract : This thesis consists of an extensive introduction followed by seven papers (A-F) on low-level analysis of microarray data. Focus is on calibration and normalization of observed data. The introduction gives a brief background of the microarray technology and its applications in order for anyone not familiar with the field to read the thesis. READ MORE

  3. 23. Computational Solid Wave Propagation Numerical Techniques and Industrial Applications

    Author : Torbjörn Ekevid; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; wave propagation; multigrid; adaptivity; parallel; FEM; iterative; SBFEM;

    Abstract : For wave propagation and many other physical phenomena, the dynamic effects are vital. In industrial applications, such problems are very complex and generally have to be treated by means of numerical methods. READ MORE

  4. 24. Distributed diagnosis and simulation based residual generators

    Author : Jonas Biteus; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : Diagnosis; Distributed diagnosis; Fault isolation; Residual generator; Simulation; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Abstract : Fault diagnosis is becoming increasingly important for many technical systems. This is for example true in automotive vehicles where fault diagnosis is needed due to economic reasons such as efficient repair and fault prevention, and legislations that mainly deal with safety and pollution. 5. 25. Design and Investigation of a Decision Support System for Public Policy Formulation

    Author : Osama Ibrahim; Aron Larsson; David Sundgren; Els van Daalen; Stockholms universitet; []

    Abstract : The ultimate aim of support for public policy decision making is to develop ways of facilitating policymaking that can create policies that are consistent with the preferences of policymakers and stakeholders (such as an increase in economic growth, the reduction of social inequalities, and improvements to the environment), and that are at the same time based on the available knowledge and evidential information.Using the design science research methodology, an iterative design process was followed to build and evaluate a research artefact in the form of an analytical method that is also operationalised as a decision support system (DSS) – in order to facilitate the problem analysis, the impact assessment and the decision evaluation activities carried out at the policy formulation stage of the policymaking process.
