  1. 26. Protein Nanomaterials: : Functionalization, Self-assembly, and Applications

    Author : Lei Wang; Niclas Solin; Olle Inganäs; German Salazar-Alvarez; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : As one of the major classes of materials that is relevant to biological function of our daily life, proteins are highly interesting in both biological and material science. Self-assembled protein amyloid nanostructures have been considered not only as aggregates in pathological tissue, but also as a kind of advanced one dimension materials in material science perspective due to their favorable characteristics including high aspect ratio, abundant surface charge groups, high stability, and tunable surface properties. 2. 27. Surface Energy Patterning and Optoelectronic Devices Based on Conjugated Polymers

    Author : Xiangjun Wang; Olle Inganäs; Henning Sirringhaus; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Surface energy modification; Patterning; Dewetting; Conjugated polymer; plastic solar cell; Low bandgap; Electron acceptors and donors; Physics; Fysik;

    Abstract : The work presented in this thesis concerns surface energy modification and patterning of the surfaces of conjugated polymers. Goniometry and Wilhelmy Balance techniques were used to evaluate the surface energy or wettability of a polymer’s surface; infrared reflectionabsorption spectroscopy (IRAS) was used to analyse the residuals on the surface as modified by a bare elastomeric stamp poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS). 3. 28. Conjugated Polyelectrolytes in Interactions with Biomolecules for Supramolecular assembly and Sensing

    Author : Jens Wigenius; Olle Inganäs; Peter Nilsson; Duncan Sutherland; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP;

    Abstract : Conjugated polyelectrolytes (CP) show interesting electrical and optical properties for organic electronics as well as for life science applications. Their possibilities of supramolecular assembly with nanowire like misfolded proteins, amyloids, as well as synthetic polypeptides or DNA forming conducting or luminescent nano composites is highly interesting as being a truly bottom up approach for fabrication of OLEDs, photovoltaic’s as well as logic devices. 4. 29. Polymer/polymer blends in organic photovoltaic and photodiode devices

    Author : Yuxin Xia; Olle Inganäs; Ergang Wang; Hin-Lap Yip; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Organic photovoltaics devices (OPV) have attracted attentions of scientist for their potential as inexpensive, lightweight, flexible and suitable for roll-to-roll production. In recent years, considerable attention has been focused on new acceptor materials, either polymeric or small molecules, to replace the once dominating fullerene derivatives. READ MORE

  5. 30. Color Tuning for Perovskite Light-Emitting Diodes

    Author : Hongling Yu; Feng Gao; Xiaoke Liu; Olle Inganäs; Fengling Zhang; Maksym V. Kovalenko; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Perovskite light-emitting diodes; Color tuning; Pure and mixed halide; Spectral stability; White emission;

    Abstract : Metal halide perovskites (MHPs) are recognized as promising semiconductor materials for a variety of optical and electrical device applications due to their cost-effective and outstanding optoelectronic properties. As one of the most significant applications, perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs) hold promise for future lighting and display technologies, attributed to their high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY), high color purity, and tunable emission color.
