  1. 1. One-piece fashion : Demand driven supply chain management

    Author : Jonas Larsson; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; fashion logistics; mass customisation; supply chain management; knitwear; agility; demand chain management; Fashion Management;

    Abstract : The fashion market is characterised by short life cycles, low predictability, and high impulse purchasing. In order to respond to these characteristics, companies are constantly introducing new collections and models. READ MORE

  2. 2. Composing over time, temporal patterns : in Textile Design

    Author : Barbara Jansen; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Keywords : HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; temporal patterns; textile design; Textiles and Fashion General ; Textil och mode generell ;

    Abstract : The work presented in this thesis is a first attempt investigating a new field, exploring the visual effects of movement using light as a continuous time-based medium. Composing over time, temporal patterns - in Textile Design is a practice based research project that investigates the following research question: What does it mean, if time and change – constant movement – becomes part of the textile design expression? The research question has been investigated in a number of experiments that explore the visual effects of movement using light integrated into textile structures as a medium. READ MORE

  3. 3. The Design and Structure Prediction of Protein Oligomers

    Author : Robert Lizatovic; Biokemi och Strukturbiologi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; virus capsids; coiled coils; molecular replacement; symmetry; Rosetta; protein design; structure prediction;

    Abstract : The minimum free energy state of a protein (the native state) is encoded by its amino-acid sequence. Due to the many torsional degrees of freedom (DOF) available to a polypeptide chain, a vast number of conformations is possible. READ MORE

  5. 5. Human-centric evaluation of innovation

    Author : Anna Ståhlbröst; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Informatik; Informatics;

    Abstract : In this Licentiate Thesis, human-centric evaluation of innovations are investigated with focus on examining and gaining understanding of important issues that needs to be considered in the evaluation process. The intention of my research is to contribute to IT-design processes so that future products and services, that are in various stages of development, become more responsive to users' actual needs and wants.
