1. Role of estrogen receptor beta in epithelia lacking estrogen receptor alpha expression
Abstract : Estrogens influence the physiology of many organs by activation of the nuclear receptors ERalpha and ERbeta. The epithelium of ventral prostate, ovarian granulosa cells and lung, are ERalpha-negative but express high levels of ERbeta. This thesis focuses on the role played by ERbeta in ERalpha-negative epithelium. READ MORE

2. Epigenetic Regulation of Replication Timing and Signal Transduction
Abstract : Upon fertilization the paternal and maternal genomes unite, giving rise to the embryo, with its unique genetic code. All cells in the human body are derived from the fertilized ovum: hence they all contain (with a few exceptions) the same genetic composition. READ MORE

3. Assessment of tubal infertility with radionuclide-labelled particles and falloscopy
Abstract : The fallopian tubes are of central importance for human reproduction in vivo. Damage to the tubal internal mucosa can result in disturbance of sperm and ovum transport. About 40% of infertile women have tubal disease as their main cause of infertility. READ MORE

5. Human gonadotrophins for ovarian stimulation in infertility treatment
Abstract : Infertility problems are present in 10 to 15 % of couples of fertile age. Ovulatory dysfunction, as a single cause, can be successfully treated and in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) can help a considerable number of couples, also when male problems are present. READ MORE
