  1. 1. Countercurrent operation in the dilute-acid hydrolysis of cellulose for ethanol production

    Author : Pär Pettersson; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; model; lignocellulose; wood; cellulose; ethanol production; dilute-acid hydrolysis; countercurrent; Kemiteknik och kemisk teknologi; Chemical technology and engineering;

    Abstract : Fuel ethanol can be produced from lignocellulosic materials to replace gasoline and diesel. A crucial step in the production process is the hydrolysis (saccharification) of the material, which can be achieved with dilute acid at high temperature. Unfortunately, sugar is degraded under these severe conditions, and the sugar yield is generally low. READ MORE

  2. 2. On Numerical Descriptions of Road Transport Missions

    Author : Pär Pettersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; energy efficiency; Transport mission description; CO$_2$-emission; full vehicle simulation; road format; energy consumption; operating cycle;

    Abstract : This thesis addresses some issues of current interest in energy consumption prediction through simulation. First, we review the situation for rating, regulation and legislation of CO$_2$-emissions for cars and heavy vehicles. READ MORE

  3. 3. Operating cycle representations for road vehicles

    Author : Pär Pettersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; operating cycle; full vehicle simulation; energy usage; transport operation description; road format; CO2 emissions;

    Abstract : This thesis discusses different ways to represent road transport operations mathematically. The intention is to make more realistic predictions of longitudinal performance measures for road vehicles, such as the CO2 emissions. READ MORE

  4. 4. Alpha-class glutathione transferases as steroid isomerases and scaffolds for protein redesign

    Author : Pär L. Pettersson; Roberta F. Colman; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Biochemistry; Biokemi; Biochemistry; Biokemi; Biokemi; Biochemistry;

    Abstract : The present work focuses on the glutathione transferase (GST) Alpha-class enzymes, their characteristics as steroid isomerases and structural plasticity as malleable scaffolds for protein design. The GSTs are a family of detoxication enzymes that appears to have a wider variety of additional functions. READ MORE

  5. 5. Inter-team Coordination in Large-Scale Agile Software Development Projects

    Author : Tomas Gustavsson; John Sören Pettersson; Linda Bergkvist; Marie-Therese Christiansson; Pär Ågerfalk; Karlstads universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Inter-Team Coordination; Large-Scale Agile Software Development; Institutional logics; Scaled Agile Framework; Project Management; Information Systems; Informatik;

    Abstract : Software development organizations worldwide are adopting values, principles, and frameworks to implement Agile ways of working. The advantages of Agile ways of working are seen in teams that are allowed a high level of autonomy. READ MORE
