  1. 6. Mini-Jet Production in Proton-Antiproton Interactions and Particle Production in Heavy-Ion Collisions

    Author : Haiqiao Wang; Partikel- och kärnfysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; proton antiproton interaction; Quark-gluon plasma; dynamical fluctuation; intermittency; limiting fragmentation; intranuclear cascading; target fragmentation; heavy-ion collision; image processing; mini-jet; Nuclear physics; Kärnfysik; Fysicumarkivet A:1997:Wang;

    Abstract : The thesis is based on the data analysis and detector development of the EMU01/CERN, E863/BNL and UA1/CERN experiments. Particle fluctuations are studied with the scaled factorial moments in the fragmentation region of oxygen-induced emulsion interactions from 3.7 to 200 A GeV. READ MORE

  2. 7. Organic Hole-Transport Materials for Perovskite Solar Cells

    Author : Linqin Wang; Licheng Sun; Nam-Gyu Park; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Hole-transport material; Photovoltaic device; Perovskite solar cell; Dopant-free; Carbazole; Spiro[fluorene-9; 9 -xanthene]; Small organic molecule; Crosslinked polymer; Solution-processed.; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Abstract : Research on perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has undergone dramatic development since the first cells were reported in 2009, and the past decade has witnessed a significant breakthrough on their power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) from 3.8% to 25%. READ MORE

  3. 8. Artificial intelligence for breast cancer precision pathology

    Author : Yinxi Wang; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Breast cancer is the most common cancer type in women globally but is associated with a continuous decline in mortality rates. The improved prognosis can be partially attributed to effective treatments developed for subgroups of patients. However, nowadays, it remains challenging to optimise treatment plans for each individual. READ MORE

  4. 9. Testosterone : of importance in patients with dysglycemia and cardiovascular disease?

    Author : Anne Wang; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Background: Testosterone has been associated with cardiovascular (CV) health in men and women with or without diabetes. There are however conflicting results which warrant further investigations to understand if testosterone is important for prognosis, in particular in relation to diabetes and cardiovascular disease (CVD). 5. 10. RADIOIMMUNOTHERAPY & EXTRACORPOREAL ADSORPTION Preclinical Studies of the Pharmacokinetics & Biotinylation of Radioimmunoconjugates in Immunocompetent Rats

    Author : Zhongmin Wang; Bröstcancer-genetik; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; onkologi; cancer; oncology; cancerology; Cytologi; Cytology; extracorporeal adsorption; tri-functional chelator; maximal tolerable dose; biotin; intraperitoneal administration; biodistribution; pharmacokinetics; biotinylation; radiolabeling; rat; monoclonal antibody; radionuclide;

    Abstract : Extracorporeal adsorption (ECAT) is a novel strategy to reduce activity in whole body (WB), blood and radiosensitive organs by removing the excess of radiolabeled and biotinylated monoclonal antibody (MAb) from blood so that tumor/normal tissue ratio (T/N) could be improved. By increasing T/N, higher amounts of radiolabeled MAb might be administered, making it possible to treat disseminated carcinomas. READ MORE
