  1. 1. Partial Discharge Signatures of Defects in Insulation Systems Consisting of Oil and Oil-impregnated Paper

    Author : Mohamad Ghaffarian Niasar; Hans Edin; Peter Werelius; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; partial discharge; transformer; oil; ageing; temperature; PD classification;

    Abstract : Partial discharge measurement is a common method for monitoring and diagnostics of power transformers, and can detect insulation malfunctions before they lead to failure. Different parameters extracted from the measured PD activity can be correlated to the PD source, and as a result it is possible to identify the PD source by analyzing the PD activity. READ MORE

  2. 2. Ca-Pd/Pt-Ge Compounds on the Zintl Border

    Author : Isa Doverbratt; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Zintl compounds form a category in intermetallic chemistry somewhere between metallic and ionic compounds. Classical Zintl compounds form between electropositive and electronegative elements, such as the alkaline earth metals and the p-block elements, i.e. elements with a relatively large electronegativity difference. 3. 3. Prognosis based classification and tumor biology of uterine sarcomas

    Author : Elin Hardell; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Uterine stromal sarcomas are a heterogenous group of tumors ranging from low-grade stromal sarcomas with a relatively good survival but high risk of recurrence, to undifferentiated uterine sarcomas with a far worse prognosis. Little is known about their biology, and prognostic markers are lacking. READ MORE

  4. 4. Fear of falling in persons with Parkinson's disease

    Author : Stina Jonasson; Rehabiliteringsmedicin; []
    Keywords : Activity avoidance; Balance confidence; Concerns about falling; Fall-related self-efficacy; International Classification of Functioning; Disability and Health ICF ; Linking study; Psychometrics; Qualitative research; Regression analysis; Reliability; Self-reported rating scale;

    Abstract : Fear of falling (FOF) is common in persons with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and may have large consequences in daily life, causing a sedentary lifestyle, social isolation and reduced quality of life. FOF is therefore an important aspect to consider for researchers as well as clinicians and the rehabilitation team. READ MORE

  5. 5. First-principle data-driven models for assessment of motor disorders in Parkinson’s disease

    Author : Taha Khan; Peter Funk; Mark Dougherty; Jerker Westin; Shahina Begum; Gunnar Klein; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : Computer Science; datavetenskap; Complex Systems – Microdata Analysis;

    Abstract : Parkinson’s disease (PD) is an increasing neurological disorder in an aging society. The motor and non-motor symptoms of PD advance with the disease progression and occur in varying frequency and duration. In order to affirm the full extent of a patient’s condition, repeated assessments are necessary to adjust medical prescription. READ MORE
