  1. 1. Materials Reliability in PEM Fuel Cells

    Author : Live Mølmen; Peter Leisner; Ulf Jansson; Jönköping University; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fuel cell; PEMFC; Bipolar plate; Catalyst; Electrodeposition; Corrosion; Stainless steel; Accelerated stress tests; bränsleceller; PEM; bipolära plattor; katalysator; elektroplätering; korrosion; accelererad testning;

    Abstract : As part of the global work towards reducing CO2 emissions, all vehicles needs to be electrified, or fueled by green fuels. Batteries have already revolutionised the car market, but fuel cells are believed to be a key energy conversion system to be able to electrify also heavy duty vehicles. READ MORE

  2. 2. On direct hydrogen fuel cell vehicles : modelling and demonstration

    Author : Kristina Haraldsson; Per Alvfors; Dougal J. Nelson; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Chemical engineering; direct hydrogen; Proton Exchange Membrane; PEM; fuel cell; fuel cell vehicle; fuel cell hybrid vehicles; on-board hydrogen storage; Kemiteknik; Chemical engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Abstract : In this thesis, direct hydrogen Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell systems in vehicles are investigated through modelling, field tests and public acceptance surveys. A computer model of a 50 kW PEM fuel cell system was developed. The fuel cell system efficiency is approximately 50% between 10 and 45% of the rated power. READ MORE

    Abstract : Several aspects make today’s transport system non-sustainable: • Production, transport and combustion of fossil fuels lead to global and local environmental problems. • Oil dependency in the transport sector may lead to economical and political instability. READ MORE

  4. 4. Diagnostics for advanced fusion plasma scenarios

    Author : Mattias Kuldkepp; Elisabeth Rachlew-Källne; Fritz Wagner; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MSE; PEM; mirror evolution; fusion; diagnostics; plasma spectroscopy; reversed field pinch; spherical tokamak; intelligent shell; PPCD; MAST; ITER; Molecular physics; Molekylfysik;

    Abstract : Over the past decade, fusion research has showed the potential of being a main candidate for energy production for future generations. Further advances in improved fusion performance are therefore vital. This thesis focuses on advanced fusion plasma scenarios and their diagnostic requirements. READ MORE

  5. 5. Bringing fuel cells to reality and reality to fuel cells : A systems perspective on the use of fuel cells
