  1. 1. Not all green innovations are created equal : Consumer innovativeness and motivations in the adoption of shared micromobility

    Author : Phil Flores; Företagsekonomiska institutionen; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Shared micromobility; Green innovations; Innovation adoption; consumer innovativeness; domain-specific innovativeness; e-bikes; e-scooters; motivations;

    Abstract : The purpose of this thesis is to understand how consumer innovativeness and motivations relate to the decision to adopt green innovations. This thesis examines two forms of green transport innovations, shared e-bikes and e-scooters, which are part of the shared micromobility phenomenon. READ MORE

  3. 3. Structure-Function Studies of Enzymes from Ribose Metabolism

    Author : C. Evalena Andersson; Sherry Mowbray; Phil Evans; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Molecular biology; activation; isomerase; kinase; potassium; product inhibition; ribose; ribose 5-phosphate; x-ray crystallography; enzyme kinetics; fluorescence spectroscopy; protein structure; Molekylärbiologi; Molecular biology; Molekylärbiologi;

    Abstract : In the pentose phosphate pathway, carbohydrates such as glucose and ribose are degraded with production of reductive power and energy. Another important function is to produce essential pentoses, such as ribose 5-phosphate, which later can be used in biosynthesis of nucleic acids and cofactors. READ MORE

  4. 4. Long shifts, short rests and vulnerability to shift work

    Author : John Axelsson; Torbjörn Åkerstedt; Ulf Lundberg; Phil Tucker; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Sleep; alertness; sleepiness; shiftwork; compressed working hours; long shifts; 12h shifts; quick returns; quick change-overs; tolerance; gender; Psychology; Psykologi;

    Abstract : At the same time as many urban economies are developing into 24-hour societies it is becoming increasingly popular amongst shift workers to compress their working hours. This is done by working longer shifts (>8h) and/or restricting free time (... READ MORE

  5. 5. Achieving carbon isotope mass balance in northern forest soils, soil respiration and fungi

    Author : Björn Boström; Alf Ekblad; Phil Ineson; Örebro universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; 13C; Carbon cycle; Ectomycorrhizal fungi; Forest soil; Microbial respiration; Soil respiration; Stable isotopes; Biology; Biologi; Biology; Biologi;

    Abstract : Northern forests contain a large part of the global terrestrial carbon pool and it is unclear whether they will be sinks or sources for atmospheric carbon if the climate warms as predicted. Stable isotope techniques provide unique tools to study the carbon cycle at different scales but the interpretation of the isotope data is impaired by our inability to close the carbon isotope mass balance of ecosystems.
