1. Structure control by phase separation and influence on mass transport in films for controlled release
Abstract : Controlled release coatings for oral pharmaceutics are often made of cellulose derivatives. Such coatings can be used to promote a prolonged therapeutic concentration in the blood by a slow drug delivery in the gastrointestinal tract. READ MORE

2. From Macro to Nano : Electrokinetic Transport and Surface Control
Abstract : Today, the growing and aging population, and the rise of new global threats on human health puts an increasing demand on the healthcare system and calls for preventive actions. To make existing medical treatments more efficient and widely accessible and to prevent the emergence of new threats such as drug-resistant bacteria, improved diagnostic technologies are needed. 3. Optimization of Low-Level Controllers and High-Level Polymer Grade Changes
Abstract : Two design problems at different levels in the control hierarchy are considered; optimization of robust low-level controllers with constrained control signal activity and optimization of economical high-level polyethylene grade changes. As for the first design problem, a constraint on control signal activity due to measurement noise is presented and used when optimizing and comparing PI/PID controllers with measurement filters of different orders. 4. Understanding the mechanisms behind atom transfer radical polymerization : exploring the limit of control
Abstract : Atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) is one of the most commonly employed techniques for controlled radical polymerization. ATRP has great potential for the development of new materials due to the ability to control molecular weight and polymer architecture. READ MORE

5. Learning-based Control for 4D Printing and Soft Robotics
Abstract : Exploiting novel sensors and actuators made of flexible and smart materials becomes a new trend in robotics research. The studies on the design, production, and control of the new type of robots motivate the research fields of soft robots and 4D printed robots. READ MORE
