  1. 11. Simulation, Measurement and Analysis of the Response of Electron- and Position Sensitive Detector

    Author : Omeime Xerviar Esebamen; Hans-Erik Nilsson; Göran Thungström; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : Different methods exist in relation to probing and investigating thephysical and structural composition of materials especially detectors whoseusage have become an integral part of radiation detection. The use of thescanning electron microscopy is just one of such exploratory methods. READ MORE

  2. 12. Synthesis and Properties of Colloidal Zeolite

    Author : Brian J. Schoeman; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Several zeolite phases, zeolite N-Y, N-A, ZSM-2, (hydroxy)sodalite and TPA-silicalite- 1, have been synthesized in the form of stable suspensions of discrete colloidal crystals wherein the average particle size is less than 150 nanometers and in certain cases, less than 50 nanometers, with a narrow particle size distribution, PSD. Clear homogeneous tetraalkylammonium (alumino)silicate solutions containing controlled amounts of alkali metal cations are hydrothermally treated at 100 °C without stirring and under reflux. 3. 13. Evaluation of plant resistance in field pea by host plant choice behaviour of pea weevil (Bruchus pisorum L.) : implications for pest management

    Author : Esayas Mendesil; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Field pea (Pisum sativum L.) is an important grain legume crop due to its nutritional value and role in improving soil fertility in cropping systems. Insect pests are one of the main production constraints for field pea, with pea weevil (PW), (Bruchus pisorum L.) being an economically important pest of field pea worldwide. READ MORE

  4. 14. ROBUST DETECTION AND SPECTRAL ANALYSIS OF SIGNALS WITH APPLICATIONS IN SPECTROSCOPY

    Author : Naveed Butt; Matematisk statistik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Detection; NQR; NMR; Raman Spectroscopy; Spectral Analysis.;

    Abstract : Modern spectroscopic techniques, such as nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and Raman spectroscopy, rely heavily on statistical signal processing systems for decision making and information extraction. The first part of this thesis introduces novel robust algorithms for detection, estimation, and classification of signals obtained through these spectroscopic techniques. READ MORE

  5. 15. Resource Allocation in Flexible-Grid Optical Networks with Nonlinear Interference

    Author : Li Yan; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Gaussian noise model; nonlinear interference; elastic optical networks; resource allocation; physical layer impairment; Flexible-grid optical network;

    Abstract : As the backbone of modern communications, the optical networks are anticipated to provide higher data rate and flexibility to support the exponentially growing volume and heterogeneity of traffic requirements. Flexible-grid optical networks have been proposed to improve the utilization of spectrum resources. READ MORE
