11. Composing over time, temporal patterns : in Textile Design
Abstract : The work presented in this thesis is a first attempt investigating a new field, exploring the visual effects of movement using light as a continuous time-based medium. Composing over time, temporal patterns - in Textile Design is a practice based research project that investigates the following research question: What does it mean, if time and change – constant movement – becomes part of the textile design expression? The research question has been investigated in a number of experiments that explore the visual effects of movement using light integrated into textile structures as a medium. READ MORE

12. Dynamic Textile Patterns: designing with smart textiles
Abstract : New smart textile materials have been investigated and show that today`s textile patterns can be designed to offer more than traditional textile patterns do. The prototypes of dynamic textile patterns designed in this thesis are brought about in a new design process that takes smart textile materials into consideration. READ MORE

13. Towards an Ontology Design Pattern Quality Model
Abstract : The use of semantic technologies and Semantic Web ontologies in particular have enabled many recent developments in information integration, search engines, and reasoning over formalised knowledge. Ontology Design Patterns have been proposed to be useful in simplifying the development of Semantic Web ontologies by codifying and reusing modelling best practices. READ MORE

15. Content Ontology Design Patterns: Qualities, Methods, and Tools
Abstract : Ontologies are formal knowledge models that describe concepts and relationships and enable data integration, information search, and reasoning. Ontology Design Patterns (ODPs) are reusable solutions intended to simplify ontology development and support the use of semantic technologies by ontology engineers. READ MORE
