1. Photonic MEMS for optical information technologies
Abstract : Photonic integrated circuits (PICs) combine hundreds of optical components on a chip, and can enable fast communications, high-performance computing, and improved sensing. PICs, made by miniaturized optical waveguides, require many reconfigurable elements to enable programmable functionalities and to compensate for fabrication variations and environmental factors. 2. Toward resilient product-based service supply chains
Abstract : Circular economies represent a step toward breaking the linear production model in supply chains. As drivers of enhanced circularity, product-based service (PBS) offerings extend and/or intensify the utilization period of products and thus decelerate the flow of resources. READ MORE

3. A nuclear magnetic resonance study of dialkyldithiophosphate complexes : polycrystalline and surface adsorbed
Abstract : 31P, 13C and 207Pb NMR were used to characterize different metal (Ni, Zn, Pb) dialkyldithiophosphate complexes. Eight different sodium or potassium dialkyldithiophosphate salts (alkyl groups R=ethyl-, n-propyl, iso-propyl, n- butyl, iso-butyl, sec-butyl, iso-amyl and cyclo-hexyl) were used as starting materials. 4. Performance Assessment of Long Combination Vehicles using Naturalistic Driving Data
Abstract : The deployment of long combination vehicles (LCVs) is currently in progress in Sweden. LCV refers to heavy vehicles that are longer than 25.25 m, which is the conventional length limit in Swedish regulations. LCVs reduce operational costs, improve fuel efficiency and reduce CO2 emission per ton-km. READ MORE

5. Quantum Dot Solar Cells: Towards Environmentally Friendly Materials
Abstract : To decrease the world’s energy dependence on fossil fuels, energy production and specifically electricity production needs to shift to more sustainable alternatives. One such alternative is solar cells as they directly convert energy emitted from the sun into electricity. READ MORE
