  1. 21. Heating and Cooling Requirements in Commercial Buildings. A duration curve model including building dynamics

    Author : Per-Erik Nilsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HVAC system; cooling requirements; duration curve; heating requirements; commercial building; heat balance; balance curve; energy analysis;

    Abstract : In many European countries, especially, the heat loss due to transmission and air leakage, in many buildings today, is only a fraction of what it was in those built in the early 70's. At the same time there have been changes in the way the buildings are used which, among other things, has lead to an often considerable increase of the internal heat loads. READ MORE

  2. 22. Optical and photoemission investigations of metals and metal alloys

  3. 23. Key Components for High Tc SQUID Magnetometers

    Author : Per-Åke Nilsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : This thesis describes the development of key components for superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometers in the high temperature superconductor YBa2Cu3O7 (YBCO). Such magnetometers are made for liquid nitrogen temperature operation, as opposed to low Tc devices that are confined to liquid helium. READ MORE

  5. 25. Development of Sheathless Electrospray Mass Spectrometry and Investigations of Associated Electrochemical Processes – A Fairy Tale

    Author : Stefan Nilsson; Karin Markides; Leif Nyholm; Jonas Bergquist; Per Andrén; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; electrospray; sheathless; mass spectrometry; capillary electrophoresis; electrochemistry; chromatography; interface; fairy dust; gold; Analytisk kemi; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Abstract : In microscale separations, such as capillary electrophoresis and -liquid chromatography, the liquid flow rates are in the order of nanoliters per second. If such flow rates are to be interfaced with a mass spectrometer (MS) using electrospray (ES) ionization, without loss of separation efficiency, each fraction of the analyte zone must remain undisturbed by the high voltage contact necessary for ES.
