1. Studies on design automation of analog circuits : performance metrics
Abstract : The trend of today is to integrate large systems containing analog and digital circuits on a single chip. This has the advantages of decreased power consumption and cost. In order to reduce the design time for these systems, efficient design automation tools are required. READ MORE

2. On performance limitations of large-scale networks with distributed feedback control
Abstract : We address the question of performance of large-scale networks with distributed feedback control. We consider networked dynamical systems with single and double integrator dynamics, subject to distributed disturbances. We focus on two types of problems. First, we consider problems modeled over regular lattice structures. READ MORE

3. Performance Optimization Techniques and Tools for Data-Intensive Computation Platforms : An Overview of Performance Limitations in Big Data Systems and Proposed Optimizations
Abstract : Big data processing has recently gained a lot of attention both from academia and industry. The term refers to tools, methods, techniques and frameworks built to collect, store, process and analyze massive amounts of data. Big data can be structured, unstructured or semi-structured. 4. Rock Mass Characterisation Using Drill Performance Monitoring : Problems, Analysis challenges and Limitations
Abstract : In open pit mining, it is important to know as much information as possible about rock masses to be mined for more cost-effective mining operation. In rock engineering perspective, information about rock mass characteristics usually includes hardness of the rock, geological features, fractures, faults, ore contacts, water bearing stratum. 5. Borehole sealing with expandable buffer clays in HLW disposal : Lab-scale performance
Abstract : Two basically different multibarrier concepts for high-level radioactive waste (HLW) are the often cited KBS-3 V/H concepts, for isolating nuclear waste at 400-600 m depth and Very Deep Boreholes concepts (VDH) for placement at 2000-4000 m depth. Both make use of expandable clay as isolating medium of canisters with HLW and as backfill material in shafts and tunnels in repositories for safe disposal of such waste. READ MORE
