  1. 1. An upgrade of the SCANDAL facility for neutron scattering measurements at 175 MeV

    Author : Pernilla Andersson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Fysik;

    Abstract : The experimental setup SCANDAL, used for measurements of the differential cross section for elastic neutron scattering, has been upgraded with new Na doped CsI scintillating detectors for measurements at 175 MeV. Two experimental campaigns have been carried out, collecting data on three different nuclei: iron, bismuth and silicon. READ MORE

  5. 5. The calcitonin gene family of peptides : receptor expression and effects on bone cells

    Author : Susanne Granholm; Ulf Lerner; Pernilla Lundberg; Göran Andersson; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; CT family of peptides; osteoclast differentiation; bone resorption; CTR; CRLR; RAMPs; Cell biology; Cellbiologi;

    Abstract : The calcitonin gene family of peptides consists of calcitonin (CT), two calcitonin gene related peptides (α-CGRP, β-CGRP), adrenomedullin (ADM), amylin (AMY), three calcitonin receptor activating peptides (CRSP1-3) and intermedin/adrenomedullin2 (IMD). These peptides bind to one of two G protein -coupled receptors, the calcitonin receptor (CTR) or the calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CRLR). READ MORE
