  1. 1. NMR Diffusion Studies in Heterogeneous Systems. Surfactant solutions, Polymer solutions and Gels

    Author : Magnus Nydén; Fysikalisk kemi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physical chemistry; pfg nmr; polydispersity ehec ddas; polymer surfactant self-diffusion self-association heterogeneous media; Fysikalisk kemi;

    Abstract : The aim of this study has been to investigate the self-diffusion behaviour in polymer solutions and in surfactant solutions using the pulsed field gradient (PFG) NMR technique. The NMR self-diffusion experiment was shown to provide detailed information in complex surfactant mixtures. READ MORE

  2. 2. Effects of a Novel Amphiphilic Graft Copolymer on Ternary Mixtures of Surfactant, Water, and Oil

    Author : Anna Holmberg; Fysikalisk kemi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TRFQ; PFG NMR; molecular self-diffusion; phase behavior; viscosity; amphiphilic polymer; oil-continuous microemulsion; light scattering; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi;

    Abstract : An amphiphilic graft copolymer, with hydrophilic poly(ethylene glycol) monomethyl ether side chains grafted onto a hydrophobic poly(dodecyl methacrylate) backbone, has been synthesized. The side chains are water soluble and the backbone is soluble in oils such as cyclohexane and isooctane. READ MORE

  3. 3. Phase Equilibria and Structures of Oppositely Charged Polymers and Surfactants in Water

    Author : Anna Svensson; Fysikalisk kemi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; self diffusion; PFG NMR; hexagonal; cubic Pm3n; liquid crystals; SAXS; polymer; counterion; complex; polyelectrolyte; surfactant; Monte Carlo simulations; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi;

    Abstract : A new approach to the study of aqueous mixtures of oppositely charged polymers and surfactants has been introduced. Pure polyion-surfactant ion complex salts have been synthesized and used as the point of departure. The elimination of the simple ions reduces the number of components in the mixtures, thus greatly simplifying the system. READ MORE

  4. 4. Controlling Structure and Water Miscibility of Polyion - Surfactant Ion Complex Salts

    Author : Jens Norrman; Fysikalisk kemi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physical chemistry; Fysikalisk kemi; phase diagram; cubic Pm3n; hexagonal; lamellar; self diffusion; PFG NMR; SAXS; liquid crystals; polymer; counterion; complex; polyelectrolyte; surfactant;

    Abstract : The interaction between poylions and oppositely charged surfactant ions has been investigated. This has been done by using the pure complex salt (polyion + surfactant ion) as a point of departure. Different parameters of the complex salt have been varied in a systematic way and the effect on structure and water miscibility has been investigated. READ MORE

  5. 5. Methods for the Synthesis of PET Tracers and NMR Studies of Ribonuclease A

    Author : Linda Samuelsson; Bengt Långström; Sharon Stone-Elander; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Organic chemistry; [11C]methyl iodide; Stille reaction; palladium; Ribonuclease A; osmolytes; PFG-NMR; Organisk kemi; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi;

    Abstract : This thesis contains two parts.In the first part, general and versatile palladium-mediated 11C-C bond forming reactions for use in the production of radiotracers for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) were explored. READ MORE
