6. Photoelectron Spectroscopy on Atoms, Molecules and Clusters : The Geometric and Electronic Structure Studied by Synchrotron Radiation and Lasers
Abstract : Atoms, molecules and clusters all constitute building blocks of macroscopic matter. Therefore, understanding the electronic and geometrical properties of such systems is the key to understanding the properties of solid state objects. READ MORE

7. Infrared and Photoelectron Spectroscopic Studies of Adsorbates on Solid Surfaces: Experiments and DFT Calculations
Abstract : In general, the more complex and real a system is, with all its interactions with solvents and contaminations etc., the harder it is to accurately model it and reproduce the experimental results by calculations. READ MORE

8. Photoelectron Spectroscopy on HCl and DCl : Synchrotron Radiation Based Studies of Dissociation Dynamics
Abstract : Dissociation dynamics of the ionized molecules HCl and the deuterated system DCl has been studied in gas-phase using synchrotron based photoelectron spectroscopy (PES).The inner-valence "(4σ)-1" photoionization band for DCl and HCl was recorded using maximum resolution in order to probe an interference pattern between a dissociative and a bound electronic state. 9. Free Metal Clusters Studied by Photoelectron Spectroscopy
Abstract : Clusters are aggregates of a finite number of atoms or molecules. In the present work, free clusters out of metallic parent materials have been created and studied by synchrotron radiation-based photoelectron spectroscopy. The clusters have been formed and studied in a beam and the electronic structure of the clusters has been investigated. READ MORE

10. Combining Electrochemistry and Photoelectron Spectroscopy for the Study of Li-ion Batteries
Abstract : In this thesis photoelectron spectroscopy (PES) is combined with electrochemistry to investigate the electrochemical processes that occur at the electrode/electrolyte interfaces in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). LIB systems are studied by the use of both ex situ PES, where electrodes are electrochemically pre-cycled and subsequently measured by PES, and operando PES, where electrodes are cycled during PES measurements.
