  1. 21. Ultrafast dynamics of small quantum systems studied using electron-ion coincidence spectroscopy

    Author : Smita Ganguly; Synkrotronljusfysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; coincidence spectroscopy; photodissociation dynamics; fragmentation reaction; MOLECULAR-BEAM; Cluster fission; Astrochemistry; Carbon dioxide CO2 ; ; Adamantane;

    Abstract : Studying how small quantum systems, like molecules and clusters, interact with X-rays is crucial to understanding the ultrafast processes that occur in nature on incredibly short timescales, ranging from femtoseconds to picoseconds. X-rays excite small quantum systems to unstable core hole states, leading to a cascade of phenomena, including Auger decay, nuclear rearrangement, and dissociation. READ MORE

  2. 22. Organic electronic materials for hydrogen peroxide production

    Author : Maciej Gryszel; Eric Glowacki; Magnus Jonsson; Erin Ratcliff; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; hydrogen peroxide; catalysis; organic materials; electronics;

    Abstract : Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is an important oxidant, used in various fields of industry, such as paper manufacturing, production of polymers, detergents, and cosmetics. Considering that the molecule degrades only to H2O and O2, it is regarded as a green chemical. READ MORE

  3. 23. Energy Transfer Processes and Quenching Pathways in Lanthanide Complexes: The Role of Structural Changes

    Author : Daniel Kocsi; K. Eszter Borbas; Raphaël Tripier; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; lanthanide; luminescence; sensitisation; quenching; electron transfer; organic chromophores; fluorination; Chemistry with specialization in Inorganic Chemistry; Kemi med inriktning mot oorganisk kemi; Chemistry with specialization in Organic Chemistry; Kemi med inriktning mot organisk kemi;

    Abstract : Due to their unique magnetic and luminescent properties, trivalent lanthanides (Ln(III)) have been widely utilised in cellular imaging. Ln(III) luminescence is usually sensitized by a light-harvesting ‘antenna’, a chromophore that can transfer the excitation energy to the Ln(III). READ MORE
