  1. 21. Systematics of Echiochilon and Ogastemma (Boraginaceae), and the Phylogeny of Boraginoideae

    Author : Elisabeth Långström; Per Ola Karis; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Organismic biology; Antiphytum; Echiochilon; Ogastemma; Boraginaceae; Echiochileae trib. nov.; phylogeny; ITS; floral morphology; atpB; tribes; biogeography; Africa; America; Organismbiologi; Organism biology; Organismbiologi; Systematisk botanik; Systematic Botany;

    Abstract : Echiochilon, Ogastemma and Sericostoma are revised resulting in the recognition of 15 species of Echiochilon and one Ogastemma species. Several species are placed in synonymy and three new species are described, E. baricum, E. callianthum and E. READ MORE

  2. 22. Phylogeny, taxonomy and species delimitation of water mites and velvet mites

    Author : Jeanette Stålstedt; Johannes Bergsten; Fredrik Ronquist; Joanna Mąkol; Ashley Dowling; Stockholms universitet; []

    Abstract : This study is part of the Swedish Taxonomy Initiative (STI) - one of the most ambitious all taxa biodiversity inventories in the world. One of the pillars in STI is to support taxonomic research on the most neglected taxonomic groups with the aim to lift the level of knowledge of biodiversity in the country. READ MORE

  3. 23. Tubificids with trifid chaetae: morphology and phylogeny of Heterodrilus (Clitellata, Annelida)

    Author : Erica Sjölin; Christer Erséus; Lena Gustavsson; Mari Källersjö; Katrine Worsaae; Stockholms universitet; []

    Abstract : Heterodrilus is a marine group of small (3-25 mm) clitellates that occur interstitially in sandy sediments from the intertidal zone down to about 150 m depths. The taxon includes 42 valid species and has been recorded from localities in the Mediterranean Sea, the North-west Atlantic Ocean (including the Caribbean), the Galapagos Islands, and the Indo-Pacific Region. 4. 24. Taxonomy and Phylogeny of Catenulida (Platyhelminthes) with Emphasis on the Swedish Fauna

    Author : Karolina Larsson; Ulf Jondelius; Lena Gustavsson; Isabell Sanmartin; Tom Artois; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Biology; taxonomy; phylogeny; molecular phylogenies; cryptic species; micro-invertebrate; Biologi; Catenulida; Platyhelminthes;

    Abstract : This thesis focuses on phylogenetic and taxonomic studies of Catenulida (Platyhelminthes). Catenulida is a group of microscopic free-living worms mainly found in freshwater habitats. The Swedish catenulid fauna was previously virtually unknown. READ MORE

  5. 25. Molecular phylogeny of tyrant flycatchers, cotingas, manakins and their allies (Aves: Tyrannida)

    Author : Jan I. Ohlson; Per G. P. Ericson; Cristina Y. Miyaki; Stockholms universitet; []

    Abstract : Tyrannida is a monophyletic clade that together with Furnariida constitutes the New World suboscines. The ca 560 species in Tyrannida are traditionally divided between three families: Tyrannidae (tyrant flycatchers), Cotingidae (cotingas) and Pipridae (manakins). READ MORE
