21. Physical properties and structural stability of carbon nanotubes under extreme conditions
Abstract : Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have attracted an immense attention of the research community since reporting on this system by S. Ijima in 1991. A "single-walled" CNT (SWCNT) can be considered as a rolled-up single-layer graphene - a one atom-thick layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice. READ MORE

23. Studies of the morphological activity of rivers as illustrated by the River Fyris
Abstract : (Summary)The investigation bears upon a determination of the rate of the mechanical and chemical denudation within the Fyris river-basin north of Uppsala in Central Sweden. The introduction deals with the morphological activity of rivers in general and the different methods (the sampling and the plot methods) for the determination of the rate of degradation. READ MORE

24. Examination of Dissociative Recombination Processes of Importance for Astrochemically Evolving Interstellar Clouds
Abstract : Each single moment a myriad of processes is taking place throughout the universe. A great deal of them has been found to be dissociative recombination (DR) reactions. In this thesis the major work described are related to experimental determination of reaction rates and how the reaction products splits up into their final fragments. READ MORE

25. Physical exercise for older people : focusing on people living in residential care facilities and people with dementia
Abstract : The main purposes of this thesis were to evaluate a high-intensity functional weight-bearing exercise programme, regarding its applicability (attendance, achieved intensity, adverse events) as well as its effect on physical functions and activities of daily living (ADL) among older people living in residential care facilities, with a special focus on people with dementia. Furthermore, a main purpose was to systematically review the applicability and effects of physical exercise on physical functions, cognitive functions, and ADL among people with dementia. READ MORE
