Abstract : The aim of this study was to describe attitudes and doctors' practice regarding the sick-listing process. Using a questionnaire distributed among newly sick-listed patients, their doctors,employers and officials at the National Health Insurance office it was found that the patients held a more positive view on the beneficial effects of sick-listing. Abstract : The dissertation deals with the infant mortality decline in Iceland during the 19th and early 20th Century. It shows that despite its low degree of urbanization, pre-transitional Iceland displayed higher infant mortality rates than most other European countries. READ MORE
