1. Secondary metabolites associated with plant disease, plant defense and biocontrol : studies of Hymenoscyphus pseudoalbidus, Fraxinus excelsior and Pseudomonas brassicacearum MA250
Abstract : Secondary metabolites of the fungal ash dieback pathogen Hymenoscyphus pseudoalbidus were investigated. Nine steroidal compounds were isolated from, or detected in, liquid cultures of the fungus. Three were the previously known compounds viridiol, viridin and demethoxyviridiol. READ MORE

3. Fracture healing, functional outcome and health related quality of life in younger patients with a femoral neck fracture
Abstract : Few prospective studies have investigated the patient-reported outcome measures (PROM) in patients less than 70 years that sustained a femoral neck fracture (FNF) treated with closed reduction and internal fixation (CRIF). The health-related quality of life (HRQoL) using the self-administered questionnaires EuroQol 5 Dimension (EQ-5D) and Short Form- 36 Health Survey (SF-36) and with a long term follow-up has not previously been examined in this group of patients. 4. Laccases and Oxalate-Degrading Enzymes Heterologous Expression and Novel Applications in Lignocellulose Processing
Abstract : Lignocellulose constitutes a vast renewable resource for the production of, for example, paper and bioethanol. The potential of using laccase and oxalate-degrading enzymes in novel applications for the processing of lignocellulose was investigated in this work. READ MORE

5. PET imaging of beta-cell mass
Abstract : A hallmark of diabetes is the progressive loss of the beta-cell mass (BCM) and function. Most of the diagnostic methods for diabetes are mostly reflective of the beta-cell function, whereas current methodologies for studying the beta-cell mass are limited to post-mortem biopsies or highly invasive methods.
