1. A Comparative Investigation of Gear Performance BetweenWrought and Sintered Powder Metallurgical Steel : Utilizing In-situ Surface Profile Measurements to Investigate theInitiation and Evolution of Micropitting and Pitting Damage
Abstract : Vehicle electrification is a strong trend that introduces new challenges, such as increased input speed of the transmission and increased power density. Alsothe noise emittance of the gearbox is of increasing importance, as the sound of the gearbox is no longer masked by the internal combustion engine. READ MORE

2. Influence of surface roughness on rolling contact fatigue considering thermal elastohydrodynamic lubrication effects : Due to Corona it is not possible to attend this defense in person, instead attend via this link: https://play.kth.se/media/0_omfsppe6
Abstract : Rolling contacts are utilized in many technical applications, both in bearings and in the contacts between gear teeth. These components are subjected to high loads in many of their applications. The high loads causes very high contact pressures which may cause rolling contact fatigue, often denoted as pitting or spalling. READ MORE

3. Mechanistic studies of localized corrosion of Al alloys by high resolution in-situ and ex-situ probing techniques
Abstract : A multi-analytical approach based on in-situ and ex-situ local probing techniques was employed to investigate localized corrosion mechanisms of some aluminum alloys in chloride containing solutions, focusing on the influence of intermetallic particles (IMPs) in the alloys. In the EN AW-3003 alloy, SEM-EDS analysis revealed constituent and dispersoid IMPs. READ MORE

4. Atmospheric corrosion of Mg and MgAl alloys – characterization and mechanisms
Abstract : The atmospheric corrosion of Mg and MgAl alloys was investigated. Corrosion tests were performed in the laboratory under controlled environment. CP Mg, AM50 and AZ91 samples were exposed at 95% RH and 22°C in the presence and in the absence of 400 ppm CO2 for 24 h to 672 h. The passive film was characterized by means of XPS, FTIR, AES and XRD. READ MORE

5. Structural Effects of Reinforcement Corrosion in Concrete Structures
Abstract : Reinforcement corrosion is a common cause of deterioration in reinforced concrete. The corrosion mechanism involved and the consequent structural behaviour ofdeteriorated reinforced concrete members have been studied by several researchers. READ MORE
