  1. 1. Plant aquaporins

    University dissertation from Author

    Author : Ingela Johansson; [1999]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; water deficit; calcium; plasma membrane; Plant biochemistry; channel; phosphorylation; Växtbiokemi;

    Abstract : Aquaporins are integral membrane proteins that specifically transports water. In plants, aquaporins have been identified in the plasma membrane and in the vacuolar membrane. READ MORE

  2. 2. Calcium transporting ATPases in plant cells

    University dissertation from Department of Plant Biochemistry, Lund University

    Author : Malin Olbe; [1997]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Triticum aestivum; calcium; Brij 58; calmodulin; Ca2 signalling; inside-out; endoplasmic reticulum; plant; plasma membrane; proteolysis; P-type ATPase; spinach; Spinacea oleracea; trypsin; two-phase; wheat.; Plant biochemistry; Växtbiokemi;

    Abstract : Plant cells carry Ca2+ ATPases to maintain the low resting level of cytosolic Ca2+ (0.1-0.2 µM) found in all eukaryotes. Plant Ca2+ ATPases are mainly located in the plasma membrane, the endoplasmic reticulum and in the vacuolar membrane, and consequently large Ca2+ gradients are created across these membranes. 3. 3. Verticillium longisporum and plant immunity responses in Arabidopsis

    University dissertation from ; Dept. of Plant Biology, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences

    Author : Jonas Roos; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet.; [2014]

    Abstract : Verticillium spp. are soil-borne ascomycete fungi belonging to a subgroup of Sordariomycetes, and the three major plant pathogens Verticillium longisporum, V. dahliae and V. albo-atrum cause disease on numerous plant species worldwide. READ MORE
