1. Permanental Point Processes on Real Tori
Abstract : The main motivation for this thesis is to study real Monge-Ampère equations. These are fully nonlinear differential equations that arise in differential geometry. They lie at the heart of optimal transport and, as such, are related to probability theory, statistics, geometrical inequalities, fluid dynamics and diffusion equations. READ MORE

3. On Directed Random Graphs and Greedy Walks on Point Processes
Abstract : This thesis consists of an introduction and five papers, of which two contribute to the theory of directed random graphs and three to the theory of greedy walks on point processes. We consider a directed random graph on a partially ordered vertex set, with an edge between any two comparable vertices present with probability p, independently of all other edges, and each edge is directed from the vertex with smaller label to the vertex with larger label. 5. Spatial Mixture Models with Applications in Medical Imaging and Spatial Point Processes
Abstract : Finite mixture models have proven to be a great tool for both modeling non-standard probability distributions and for classification problems (using the latent variable interpretation). In this thesis we are building spatial models by incorporating spatially dependent categorical latent random fields in a hierarchical manner similar to that of finite mixture models. READ MORE
