1. Prop profiles of compatible Poisson and Nijenhuis structures
Abstract : A prop profile of a differential geometric structure is a minimal resolution of an algebraic prop such that representations of this resolution are in one-to-one correspondence with structures of the given type. We begin this thesis with a detailed account of the algebraic tools necessary to construct prop profiles; we treat operads and props, and resolutions of these through Koszul duality. READ MORE

2. Developing governance structures in family firms : From adoption to institutionalization
Abstract : This dissertation deals with family business governance. More specifically it focuses on why and how family businesses develop their governance structures. This is an important topic because governance plays an essential role in the business world, as it links ownership and management and defines its relationships. 3. Universal algebraic structures on polyvector fields
Abstract : The theory of operads is a conceptual framework that has become a kind of universal language, relating branches of topology and algebra. This thesis uses the operadic framework to study the derived algebraic properties of polyvector fields on manifolds. The thesis is divided into eight chapters. READ MORE

4. A multivariate approach to characterization of drug-like molecules, proteins and the interactions between them
READ MORE

5. Electrostatic Interactions in Complex Liquids : A Thermodynamic Analysis Based on the Poisson-Boltzmann Equation and the Flexible Surface Model
Abstract : The aim of this study was to analyse physico-chemical properties of some complex liquids using the Poisson-Boltzmann (PB) cell model; to extend the theory to cover bilayer systems with complex global geometry; finally to apply this new extended model to such bilayer systems. The PB cell model provides a practical tool to examine counterion association and phase behaviour for structures of simple geometries; cylindrical and spherical. READ MORE
