1. Algorithms in data mining using matrix and tensor methods
Abstract : In many fields of science, engineering, and economics large amounts of data are stored and there is a need to analyze these data in order to extract information for various purposes. Data mining is a general concept involving different tools for performing this kind of analysis. READ MORE

2. The Bergman Kernel on Toric Kähler Manifolds
Abstract : Let $(L,h)\to (X, \omega)$ be a compact toric polarized Kähler manifold of complex dimension $n$. For each $k\in N$, the fibre-wise Hermitian metric $h^k$ on $L^k$ induces a natural inner product on the vector space $C^{\infty}(X, L^k)$ of smooth global sections of $L^k$ by integration with respect to the volume form $\frac{\omega^n}{n!}$. 3. BRST and Topological Gauge Theories
Abstract : In this thesis, the BRST-quantization of gauge theories is discussed. A detailed analysis of the BRST-quantization on inner product spaces is performed for a class of abelian models, including reparametrization invariant ones. General rules how to obtain physical wave functions and propagators are proposed. READ MORE

4. On various aspects of extended objects
Abstract : This thesis concerns classical and quantum aspects of minimal manifolds embedded in flat Minkowski space. In particular, we study the Lie algebra of diffeomorphisms on 2 dimensional compact manifolds as well as discuss singularity formation for relativistic minimal surfaces in co-dimension one. READ MORE

5. Free loop spaces, Koszul duality and A-infinity algebras
Abstract : This thesis consists of four papers on the topics of free loop spaces, Koszul duality and A∞-algebras. In Paper I we consider a definition of differential operators for noncommutative algebras. This definition is inspired by the connections between differential operators of commutative algebras, L∞-algebras and BV-algebras. READ MORE
