  1. 1. A Study of Propane and Propene Ammoxidation over the Mo-V-Nb-Te-Oxide System

    Author : Johan Holmberg; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Kemiteknik och kemisk teknologi; TEM; TPR; XPS; XRD; XANES; Chemical technology and engineering; SEM; FTIR; BET; TiO2; SiO2; Al2O3; supports; substitution; synthesis; Mo-V-Nb-Te-Ox catalysts; acrylonitrile; propene; Ammoxidation; propane; symbiosis;

    Abstract : The ammoxidation of propane is commonly regarded as being the future route for producing acrylonitrile, and the Mo-V-Nb-Te-oxide system studied here has thus far been seen as the most promising candidate for achieving this. Yields of up to 62% have been presented very elegantly in the patent literature. READ MORE

  2. 2. A Study of Propane and Propene Ammoxidation over Antimony-Vanadium-Oxide Catalysts at Steady-State and Transient Conditions

    Author : Roland Nilsson; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Kemiteknik och kemisk teknologi; Chemical technology and engineering; oxidation; Ammoxidation; propane; propene; propylene; catalysis; transient response; antimony vanadium oxides;

    Abstract : Propane ammoxidation catalysts of differing Sb/V ratio and consisting of differing amounts of the V2O5, alpha-Sb2O4, and Sb0.92V0.92O4 phases were prepared. In the first paper, the structure of Sb0. READ MORE

  3. 3. The Impact of Hydrocarbon and Carbon Oxide Impuritiesin the Hydrogen Feed of a PEM Fuel Cell

    Author : Katrin Kortsdottir; Rakel Wreland Lindström; Göran Lindbergh; Tanja Kallio; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Fuel Cell; Hydrogen Impurities; Carbon Monoxide; Carbon Dioxide; Ethene; Propene; Methane; Propane; Toluene; Electrochemically Active Surface Area; Cyclic Voltammetry; Mass Spectrometry; bränslecell; vätgasföroreningar; kolmonoxid; koldioxid; eten; propen; metan; propan; toluen; elektrokemisk aktiv yta; cyklisk voltammetri; masspektrometri; Chemical Engineering; Kemiteknik;

    Abstract : The proton exchange membrane fuel cell generates electricity from hydrogen and oxygen (from air) through electrocatalytic reactions in an electrochemical cell. The Pt/C catalyst, commonly used in PEM fuel cells, is very sensitive to impurities that can interact with the active catalyst sites and limit fuel cell performance. READ MORE

  4. 4. Selective oxidation over mixed oxide catalysts

    Author : Robert Häggblad; Avdelningen för kemiteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; propane; catalysis; Selective oxidation; transition metal oxides; vanadium; molybdenum; methanol oxidation; ammoxidation; propene; acrylonitrile; formaldehyde;

    Abstract : Since the metal oxide catalysts used in many chemical processes show very high selectivity for the products aimed at, both today and in the future, they play a key role in the environmentally and economically sustainable production of chemical intermediates. Two processes of this sort have been studied in the thesis: the ammoxidation of propane and propene over a Mo-V-Nb-Te-oxide catalyst and the selective oxidation of methanol over vanadium-based catalysts. 5. 5. Studies of the influence of ZSM-5 synthesis on activity and stability of Cu-ZSM-5 in leand NOx reduction

    Author : Malin Berggrund; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HC-SCR; Cu-ZSM-5; catalysis; propene; lean NOx reduction; hydrothermal stability;

    Abstract : The growing concern about the global warming coupled with the increasing emissions of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide, combined with the climbing oil price, drives the interest to more fuel efficient lean combustion engines for automotive applications. Such engines require new technical solutions for reduction of NOx in the exhaust gases, which are in excess oxygen, where a conventional three-way catalyst cannot be used to reduce NOx. READ MORE
