11. Silver Alumina Catalysts for Lean NOx Reduction - Influence of Preparation Methods and Type of Reductant, with Transient Kinetic Modelling
Abstract : The objective of this work was to compare three different preparation methods for silver alumina catalysts for lean NOx reduction. Characteristics such as catalytic activity with propene and n-octane as reductants, chemical state of the silver and silver dispersion were analyzed. READ MORE

12. Iodotrimethylsilane-Promoted Conjugate Addition of Organocopper Reagents, DDQ oxidation of Arylpropenes and Synthesis of 2-Arylcoumarans
Abstract : This thesis is divided into three parts: conjugate additions of organocopper reagents, DDQ oxidations of arylpropenes, and synthesis and steric assignment of 2-arylcoumarans. The iodotrimethylsilane(TMSI)-promoted conjugate addition of alkylcopper and copper acetylides to certain a,b-unsaturated carbonyl compounds is investigated. READ MORE

13. Selective conversion of alcohols to aldehydes over metal oxide catalysts
Abstract : Nowadays, transition metal oxide catalysts are employed to a large extent in many chemical processes for the selective production of chemicals and intermediates. Although metal oxides are mostly known as oxidation catalysts, they can successfully catalyze a wide range of reactions, such as dehydration. READ MORE

14. FTIR Studies and Kinetic Modelling of NOX Reduction and NOX Storage
Abstract : FTIR spectroscopy and kinetic modelling have been used to study catalysts for NOX reduction and NOX storage. For Pt/Al2O3 exposed to NO, oxygen and propene IR-bands associated with nitrates, acetate, formate, carbonates and isocyanate were observed. Experiments with NO, oxygen and HNCO showed that isocyanate is an intermediate for reduction of NOX. READ MORE

15. Oxygen content in semi-closed rebreathing apparatuses for underwater use : Measurements and modeling
Abstract : The present series of unmanned hyperbaric tests were conducted in order to investigate the oxygen fraction variability in semi-closed underwater rebreathing apparatuses. The tested rebreathers were RB80 (Halcyon dive systems, High springs, FL, USA), IS-Mix (Interspiro AB, Stockholm, Sweden), CRABE (Aqua Lung, Carros Cedex, France), and Viper+ (Cobham plc, Davenport, IA, USA).
