Abstract : The field of wireless communication is growing rapidly, with new requirements for the next generation of mobile and wireless communications technology. In order to achieve the capacities needed for future wireless systems, the design and implementation of advanced communications techniques such as multiantenna systems is required. READ MORE

  2. 2. Efficient Processing and Storage for Massive MIMO Digital Baseband

Author : Yangxurui Liu; Integrerade elektroniksystem; []

Abstract : Driven by the increasing demands on data rate from applications, the wireless communication standard has for decades been evolving approximately at a pace of one generation per ten years. Following this trend, the ambitious plan to replace the current cellular mobile network standard (4G) with the next generation standard (5G) is going through the standardization phase and is getting close to its actual deployment. 4. 4. ASIP for Wireless Communication and Media

Author : Johan Eilert; Dake Liu; Viktor Öwall; Linköpings universitet; []

Abstract : While general purpose processors reach both high performance and high application flexibility, this comes at a high cost in terms of silicon area and power consumption. In systems where high application flexibility is not required, it is possible to trade off flexibility for lower cost by tailoring the processor to the application to create an Application Specific Instruction set Processor (ASIP) with high performance yet low silicon cost.
