21. Informing Severe Accident Management Guidelines for a Pressurized Water Reactor with MELCOR Simulations
Abstract : Severe accident management guidelines (SAMGs) play an important role in the hierarchical structure of the defense-in-depth (DiD) principle of reactor safety. Among different methods to verify and validate the effectiveness of SAMG on mitigating severe accident consequences, the approach of numerical simulations using best-estimate computer codes was extensively applied to evaluate the SAMG and SAM actions. 22. Mathematical Multi-Objective Optimization of the Tactical Allocation of Machining Resources in Functional Workshops
Abstract : In the aerospace industry, efficient management of machining capacity is crucial to meet the required service levels to customers and to maintain control of the tied-up working capital. We introduce new multi-item , multi-level capacitated resource allocation models with a medium--to--long--term planning horizon. READ MORE

23. A design-build contractor risk assessment framework for new technical solutions in the construction industry
Abstract : Design–build contractors are often challenged to introduce new technical solutions into construction projects. However, they might not have methods and resources required to avoid serial failure, which is defined as multiple cases of failure when a technical solution fails to sustain the performance requirements.
