  1. 1. Building a Bosonic Microwave Qubit

    Author : Marina Kudra; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; 3D cavity; qubit; cubic phase state; continuous variable; circuit QED; bosonic codes; GKP-state; superconducting circuits;

    Abstract : Superconducting circuits is a promising platform for quantum computing. Quantum information is usually stored in discrete two-level qubits e.g. in transmon qubits. READ MORE

  2. 2. Controllable coupling of superconducting qubits and implementation of quantum gate protocols

    Author : Margareta Wallquist; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Controllable Qubit-Coupling; Single Cooper-Pair Box; Josephson Effect; Quantum Gate; Superconducting Circuit; Quantum Computer; Qubit; Quantum Electrical Circuit;

    Abstract : The concept of a quantum computer was invented in the beginning of the 1980s as a quantum generalization of the reversible classical computer. After discoveries in the middle of the 1990s of quantum algorithms, which wouldsolve some problems considered intractable for classical computers, the field of quantum computing has developed rapidly. 4. 4. Fast-tunable resonators and quantum electrical circuits

    Author : Martin Sandberg; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SEB; tunable; Sisyphus resistance; CPW; Resonator; SCB; qubit; circuit-QED; transmon; SQUID;

    Abstract : In this thesis, measurements on superconducting electrical circuits that exhibit quantum mechanical effects are presented. Nonlinear superconducting circuits can be regarded as artificial atoms with energy spectra that can be engineered. The artificial atoms can be used as quantum bits for quantum computation. READ MORE

  5. 5. Low-Power HEMT LNAs for Quantum Computing

    Author : Yin Zeng; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; low-noise amplifier; qubit; Cryogenic; InP HEMT.; quantum computing; low-power;

    Abstract : The rapid development of quantum computing technology predicts much more qubits to handle in the detection, readout, and amplification of qubits than in today's system. Due to the limited cooling capability of the dilution refrigerator, the current low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) are in need of ten to hundred times reduced dc power consumption yet with lowest noise temperature at qubit readout frequencies, typcially 4-12 GHz.
