  1. 1. The Realization of Attractive Quality : Conceptual and practical perspectives within the TQM system

    Author : Johan Lilja; Wiklund Håkan; Bengt Klefsjö; Bo Bergman; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Attractive Quality; Total Quality Management; TQM; customer value; Kano Model; Attraktiv kvalitet; Offensiv kvalitetsutveckling; TQM; kundvärde; Kanomodellen; Industrial organisation; administration and economics; Industriell organisation; administration och ekonomi;

    Abstract : Within the quality community, quality management is often pictured as and referred to as rapidly evolving and continuously learning by interaction with the surrounding world. In general, an ability to evolve and transform is also seen as most desirable and the only choice for long term survival. READ MORE

  2. 2. Optimal and Hereditarily Optimal Realizations of Metric Spaces

    Author : Alice Lesser; Svante Janson; Lars-Erik Persson; Anders Johansson; Vincent Moulton; Pierre Flener; Charles Semple; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Applied mathematics; optimal realization; hereditarily optimal realization; tight span; phylogenetic network; Buneman graph; split decomposition; T-theory; finite metric space; topological graph theory; discrete geometry; Tillämpad matematik;

    Abstract : This PhD thesis, consisting of an introduction, four papers, and some supplementary results, studies the problem of finding an optimal realization of a given finite metric space: a weighted graph which preserves the metric's distances and has minimal total edge weight. This problem is known to be NP-hard, and solutions are not necessarily unique. READ MORE

  3. 3. Values Behind Welfare Technology and Their Possible Realization : Creation of a Technology Evaluation Method for Care Practices

    Author : Annika Hasselblad; Leif Olsson; Katarina L Gidlund; Aron Larsson; Xiu Gu; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : Care; evaluation; technology; values; welfare technologies.;

    Abstract : In 2018 the Swedish government approved a SEK 350 million grant to increase the municipal implementation and use of welfare technologies in areas such as health care, care, and social service. Welfare technologies have been criticized for their effects on care workers’ work environment, such as increased stress due to time and performance demands. READ MORE

  4. 4. Synthesis and Realization of High-Speed Recursive Digital Filters

    Author : Håkan Johansson; Lars Wanhammar; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : Recursive digital filters restrict the sample frequency at which an implementation of the filters can operate. This bound is determined by the ratio between the number of delay elements and the operation latency in the recursive loops of the filters. READ MORE

  5. 5. Computational Methods for Deformable 1D Objects in Virtual Product Realization

    Author : Tomas Hermansson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; assembly verification; variation simulation; robust design; path planning; Cosserat rod theory; deformable 1D objects; automatic routing;

    Abstract : In industry today, virtual design tools are used in the realization of a new product. As changes in the design and planning concepts are extremely costly in the later verification and production phases, much can be gained if a product design can be optimized and verified with respect to the assembly process with simulation tools as early as possible.
