1. Molecular studies of genetic changes in myxoid and round cell liposarcoma
Abstract : Chromosomal translocations commonly result in the production of fusion genes and the fusion genes are often tumor-type specific. In myxoid and round cell liposarcomas (MLS/RCLS), almost 95% of the cases carry a t(12;16)(q13;p11). In the remaining 5% of the MLS/RCLS tumors, another translocation and fusion gene can be found, i.e. READ MORE

2. Using Light to Regulate the Activity of RET Kinase: Design, synthesis and evaluation of photoswitchable DFG-out RET kinase inhibitors
Abstract : Protein kinases are essential for signal transduction and regulate most cellular processes, such as metabolism, membrane transport, motility, and cell cycle. Although they play a critical role in cells and have a strong association with diseases, details of their physiologic and pathologic mechanisms remain at least partially unclear, especially the spatiotemporal dynamics of the signalling. 3. Clinical and Biological Patterns in Soft Tissue Sarcoma
Abstract : Soft tissue sarcomas (STSs) are rare malignant tumors, of which 3/4 are high-grade and 1/3 metastasize. For optimal management, STSs should be treated at multidisciplinary sarcoma centers. READ MORE

4. Deciphering ret signalling in cell biology and development
Abstract : The rearranged during transformation (RET) tyrosine kinase regulates a plethora of biological processes such as cell survival, proliferation and migration and is essential for the normal development of several organs such as the sensory, enteric and sympathetic nervous systems and the kidneys. After RET activation by its ligands several intracellular tyrosine residues are phosphorylated and serve as binding sites for adaptor proteins that activate different downstream signalling pathways. 5. Rewiring ret : PTB-adaptor regulated signaling and cell biology
Abstract : The Ret receptor belongs to a group of transmembrane tyrosine kinase receptors that serve to transduce environmental signals into cellular responses. Upon extracellular ligand activation the receptors dimerize and their structural conformation is altered into one that allows for interaction with proteins in the cell cytosol. READ MORE
