  1. 1. Synchrotron light based spectroscopy of MBE-grown (GaMn)As structures

    Author : Johan Adell; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Diluted magnetic Semiconductor; GaMn As; UPS; XAS; XPS; RPES;

    Abstract : Structures based on the diluted magnetic semiconductor (GaMn)As have been grown by low temperature molecular beam epitaxy and studied using synchrotron radiation based electron spectroscopy. An investigation of modifications due to in situ low temperature annealing under amorphous As capping has been performed. READ MORE

  2. 2. Dye/Semiconductor Interfaces : An Electron Spectroscopic Study of Systems for Solar Cell and Display Applications

    Author : Karin Westermark; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Physics; Dye-sensitized; nanostructured; electron spectroscopy; Fysik; Physics; Fysik; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : The properties relevant for electron transfer processes between dye molecules and semiconductor substrates, titanium dioxide (TiO2) and zinc oxide (ZnO), have been studied by means of photoelectron spectroscopy, PES, near edge X-ray absorption spectroscopy, NEXAFS, and resonant photoemission, RPES.For dye-sensitized solar cells, the currently used dyes are ruthenium polypyridine complexes adsorbed to the semiconductor via carboxyl linker groups. 3. 3. Molecular Interaction of Thin Film Photosensitive Organic Dyes on TiO2 Surfaces

    Author : Shun Yu; Mats Göthelid; Chassé Thomas; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; photoelectron spectroscopy; X-ray absorption spectroscopy; organic semiconductor; oxides; adsorption; dye sensitization; electronic structure; charge transfer;

    Abstract : The photosensitive molecule adsorption on titanium dioxide (TiO2) forms the so-called “dye sensitized TiO2” system, a typical organic/oxide heterojunction, which is of great interest in catalysis and energy applications, e.g. dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). Traditionally, the transition metal complex dyes are the focus of the study. READ MORE

  4. 4. Dopamine, decision-making, and aging : neural and behavioural correlates

    Author : Lieke de Boer; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : On any given day, we make tons of decisions. These can be as simple as deciding how to dress or what to eat, or more complex, such as whether to spend or invest money. Good decision-making involves being able to select the best alternative from a range of options, and adjust one’s preferences based on what is happening in the environment. READ MORE
