  1. 21. Platelet-derived growth factor-induced signal transduction

    Author : Sigrídur Valgeirsdóttir; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cell biology; Cellbiologi; Cell biology; Cellbiologi; molekylär cellbiologi; Molecular Cellbiology;

    Abstract : Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), a potent mitogen for mesenchymal cells, elicits its effects by binding to cell surface tyrosine kinase receptors, denoted α- and β-receptors. This thesis describes the mechanism of interaction between stimulated PDGF receptors and various intracellular molecules. READ MORE

  2. 22. 'Dior without Dior' : Tradition and Succession in a Paris Couture House, 1957-2015

  3. 23. Molecular Mechanisms in Vascular Endothelin B Receptor Up-Regulation

    Author : Erik Uddman; Lund Medicin; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Kardiovaskulära systemet; Cardiovascular system; reverse; in vitro pharmacology; organ culture; Endothelin receptors; up-regulation;

    Abstract : Cardiovascular diseases are characterized by changes in morphology and function of the blood vessels. Different signalling molecules are involved in these changes. Endothelin-1 (ET-1) is one of the most potent signalling molecules found in man. Its actions are mediated by two receptors, the ETA and the ETB receptors. READ MORE

  4. 24. Studies of glucocorticoid receptor interacting proteins

    Author : Christina Widén; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : The glucocorticoid receptor (GR) functions as a ligand dependent transcription factor. Nonliganded GR resides mainly in the cytoplasm bound to a complex containing heat shock proteins (hsp). READ MORE

  5. 25. Adenosine A2A and ATP receptors in PC12 cells

    Author : Giulia Arslan; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : PC12 cells; A2A receptors; ATP receptors; NGF; MAPK; Hypoxia; Cyclic AMP;

    Abstract : PC12 cells, originally isolated from a rat pheochromocytoma, are widely used to study receptor pharmacology and nerve cell differentiation. They are the neoplastic counterpart of adrenal chromaffin cells, but upon treatment with NGF they acquire a neuronal phenotype. READ MORE
