  1. 1. Identification and characterization of nuclear envelope protein interactions

    Author : Balaje Vijayaraghavan; Einar Hallberg; Ing-Marie Nilsson; Bengt Mannervik; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Samp1; MCLIP; Nuclear envelope; Ran; Emerin; neurokemi med molekylär neurobiologi; Neurochemistry with Molecular Neurobiology;

    Abstract : The Nuclear envelope which surrounds the chromatin of eukaryotic cells contains more than a hundred transmembrane proteins. Mutations in some genes encoding nuclear envelope proteins give rise to human diseases including neurological disorders. The function of many nuclear envelope proteins is not well established. 2. 2. Multifaceted roles of the transmembrane nuclear envelope protein, Samp1

    Author : Mohammed Hakim Jaffer Ali; Einar Hallberg; Giovanna Lattanzi; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Nuclear envelope; transmembrane protein interaction studies; cell differentiation; stem cells; myopathies; neurokemi med molekylär neurobiologi; Neurochemistry with Molecular Neurobiology;

    Abstract : The eukaryotic nuclear envelope (NE), separates the nucleoplasm from cytoplasm and is made up of two concentric lipid membranes, the outer and the inner nuclear membranes (ONM and INM), the nuclear pore complexes (NPCs) and an underlying filamentous nuclear lamina. The INM contains hundreds of unique transmembrane proteins of which only a handful have been characterized. READ MORE

  3. 3. Identification and characterization of protein-protein interactions in the nuclear envelope

    Author : Balaje Vijayaraghavan; Einar Hallberg; Katherine Wilson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Nuclear envelope; Samp1; Emerin; Ran and transmembrane proteins; neurokemi med molekylär neurobiologi; Neurochemistry with Molecular Neurobiology;

    Abstract : The nuclear envelope forms the interface between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The nuclear envelope consists of the two concentric lipid membranes, the nuclear pores and the nuclear lamina. The inner nuclear membrane contains hundreds of unique transmembrane proteins showing high tissue diversity. READ MORE

  4. 4. Functional interaction studies of different transmembrane proteins, activities occurring in the pore membrane and in the inner nuclear membrane

    Author : Ellinor Crafoord; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Aim: The overall aim of my research has been to investigate protein‐protein interactions of nuclear envelope proteins. One specific aim has been to study the effect of mitotic phosphorylation on binding of the pore membrane protein gp210 to the nuclear pore complex. READ MORE

  5. 5. Nuclear envelope protein interaction studies

    Author : Mohammed Hakim Jaffer Ali; Einar Hallberg; Anki Östlund-Farrants; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Samp1; Nuclear envelope; protein interactions; chemical crosslinking; proteomics; neurokemi med molekylär neurobiologi; Neurochemistry with Molecular Neurobiology;

    Abstract : The nuclear envelope (NE) separating the nucleoplasm from cytoplasm consists of two concentric lipid membranes, the outer (ONM) and inner (INM) nuclear membranes, the nuclear pore complexes (NPCs) and an underlying nuclear lamina network. The INM contains more than 100 unique transmembrane proteins of which only a few have been characterized. READ MORE
