1. Cervicothalamic tract termination and its cortical connections: anatomical studies in cats and ferrets
Abstract : The termination and cortical connections of the cervicothalamic tract (CTT) were studied by neuroanatomical tract tracing techniques in cats and ferrets. After injections of wheat germ agglutinin-horseradish peroxidase conjugate or biotinylated dextran amine (BDA) into the cat lateral cervical nucleus (LCN), the most abundant CTT termination is present in the ventral posterior lateral nucleus (VPL). 2. Exploring the miRNA profile of medium spiny neurons using retrograde transport in rats
Abstract : The basal ganglia play an essential role in movement selection and control. It is therefore not surprising that they are central to neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease. READ MORE

4. Zinc-enriched neurons in the spinal cord, cerebellum and peripheral sympathetic system
Abstract : Zinc ions are abundant in the nervous system and are involved in many biological functions. Most zinc is tightly bound to macromolecules, whereas a small fraction of zinc exists in synaptic vesicles of the zinc-enriched (ZEN) neurons, and can be visualized using various histochemical techniques, including autometallography (AMG). 5. Organelle movement in melanophores: Effects of Panax ginseng, ginsenosides and quercetin
Abstract : Panax ginseng is a traditional herb that has been used for over 2000 years to promote health and longevity. Active components of ginseng include ginsenosides, polysaccharides, flavonoids, polyacetylenes, peptides, vitamins, phenols and enzymes, of which the ginsenosides are considered to be the major bioactive constituents.
