  1. 1. Aerosol Metal Nanoparticles and their Role in Particle-Assisted Growth of III–V Nanowires

    University dissertation from Department of Physics, Lund University

    Author : Robert Hallberg; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2018-09-19]
    Keywords : aerosol formation; III–V semiconductor materials; catalyst particles; Palladium nanoparticles; Gold nanoparticles; Spark discharge generation; MOVPE; MOCVD; Transmission electron microscopy TEM ; Phase stability; Nanoparticle deposition; Nanoparticle generation; nanoparticles characterization; Nanowire NW ; Nanowire growth;

    Abstract : Semiconductor nanowires have properties that make them potentially useful for applications in future electronic, photovoltaic, and optoelectronic devices. A powerful nanowire fabrication technique is the use of a nanoparticle as a preferential nucleation site, from which a nanowire grows. READ MORE

  2. 2. Cold atoms in a variety of optical lattice potentials

    University dissertation from Department of Physics, Lund University

    Author : Robert Saers; Umeå universitet.; [2006]
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : In this thesis, both experimental achievements and theoretical preparatory investigationsfor future experiments are introduced. The experiments presentedare performed with the set-up used for laser cooling and trapping of rubidiumatoms, and the theoretical examinations are adopted for intended experimentson Bose-Einstein Condensates. 3. 3. The Back-scattering Problem in Three Dimensions

    University dissertation from Robert Lagergren, Luzernvägen 12, 352 51 VÄXJÖ

    Author : Robert Lagergren; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2001]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; back-scattering; Schrödinger operator; inverse scattering; Mathematics; Matematik;

    Abstract : In this thesis we study the (inverse) back-scattering problem for the Schr"odinger operator in $R^3$. We introduce the back-scattering transform $B(v)$ of a real-valued potential $vin C_0^infty(R^3)$, and prove that the back-scattering data associated to $v$ determine $B(v)$. READ MORE

  4. 4. NADH:quinone oxidoreductase: the black box of the respiratory chain

    University dissertation from Robert Roth, Dept of Biochemistry, Lund University

    Author : Robert Roth; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2003]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NADH:quinone oxidoreductase; Complex I; electron transport; membrane protein; ubiquinone; respiratory chain; respiration; metabolism; Metabolism; Biokemi; Biochemistry;

    Abstract : Complex I or NADH:quinone oxidoreductase the largest, most complex and least understood of the five membrane-bound enzyme complexes constituting the mitochondrial respiratory chain. The enzyme is present in all types of organisms, from bacteria to mammals. READ MORE

  5. 5. The acidic domain, the human version and the protein interaction of the ETS transcription factor SPI-C

    University dissertation from Robert Carlsson, BMC I13, 22184, Lund, Sweden

    Author : Robert Carlsson; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2004]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; serology; transplantation; Immunologi; serologi; Immunology; B-lymphocyte; phylogeny; STAT6; SPI-C; transcription;

    Abstract : Primary infections and vaccination stimulates the immunesystem to produce memory cells that rapidly respond to reexposure of the same antigen. These memory responses are dependent on an adaptive type of immunity that sustains the reactivity of the immune system by long-lived memory immune cells. READ MORE
