1. Experimental and Computational Predictions of Drug Solubility in Human Gastrointestinal Fluids
Abstract : The aqueous solubility of a drug is viewed as a pivotal property for its oral absorption since only dissolved molecules can permeate the gut wall and reach the systemic circulation. The fluids in the intestine, however, do not only consist of water and therefore poor water solubility may not necessarily imply a poor solubility in the intestinal fluids and resulting low bioavailability. 2. Communication acoustics in classroom environments : on the use of assistive listening devices
Abstract : Assistive listening devices (ALDs) are used in classrooms to assist communication for students with hearing loss. An ALD, a system of external microphones, transmits sound directly to the students' hearing aids. The signal is coupled to the hearing aid using a radio frequency (FM) or an induction loop (IL) system. READ MORE

3. Plasma Characterization & Thin Film Growth and Analysis in Highly Ionized Magnetron Sputtering
Abstract : The present thesis addresses two research areas related to film growth in a highly ionized magnetron sputtering system: plasma characterization, and thin film growth and analysis. The deposition technique used is called high power pulsed magnetron sputtering (HPPMS). READ MORE

4. MECHATRONIC METAPHORS : An embodied realist framework of complexity and expertise in mechatronic project work
