1. Internal Cooling Design Using Multiphysics Topology Optimization
Abstract : This thesis investigates topology optimization (TO) as a tool for designing optimal internal cooling configurations in components subjected to external hot gas streams. The work is motivated by the challenge of simultaneously considering objectives from multiple physics domains, and the rapid development of additive manufacturing (AM) in the industry, which makes it possible to realize highly complex TO designs. 5. Flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy : studies on methods for the diagnosis of carcinoma of the lung, bronchial mucosal damage and haemodynamic effects
Abstract : The diagnostic accuracy attained with the use of transbronchial fine needle aspiration biopsy, aspiration of bronchial secretion, bronchial washing, brush biopsy and forceps biopsy via a flexible fiberoptic bronchoscope was compared in patients with carcinoma of the lung. In endoscopic visible tumours the sensitivity of forceps biopsy was higher than that of the other methods. READ MORE
