  1. 1. Quantum dynamical effects in complex chemical systems

    Author : S. Karl-Mikael Svensson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Quantum dynamics; Radiative association; Classical Wigner method; Feynman path integral; Reaction rate constants; Wigner phase space;

    Abstract : When using mathematical models to computationally investigate a chemical system it is important that the methods used are accurate enough to account for the relevant properties of the system and at the same time simple enough to be computationally affordable. This thesis presents research that so far has resulted in three published papers and one unpublished manuscript. READ MORE

  2. 2. Utilizing CO2 from biomethane production : Sustainability and climate performance

    Author : Stephanie S. Cordova; Mats Eklund; Marcus Gustafsson; Niclas Svensson; Valentina Bisinella; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Biomethane; Carbon capture and utilization; CCU; CO₂ utilization;

    Abstract : Biogas solutions offer many benefits for the environment and society, including organic waste treatment as well as being an enabler for energy and nutrient recovery. The products of anaerobic digestion are a biogas, which contains a share of 30 to 50% carbon dioxide (CO2) and 50 to 70% methane, and a liquid remanent, rich in nutrients. READ MORE

  3. 3. Pharmacometric Models to Improve Treatment of Tuberculosis

    Author : Elin M Svensson; Mats O Karlsson; Maria C Kjellsson; Ulrika S H Simonsson; N. L’Ntshotsholé (Shasha) Jumbe; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : pharmacokinetics; pharmacodynamics; population approach; nonlinear mixed-effects models; multidrug-resistant tuberculosis; bedaquiline; antiretroviral; drug-drug interactions; time-to-event; albumin; Klinisk farmakologi; Clinical Pharmacology;

    Abstract : Tuberculosis (TB) is the world’s most deadly infectious disease and causes enormous public health problems. The comorbidity with HIV and the rise of multidrug-resistant TB strains impede successful therapy through drug-drug interactions and the lack of efficient second-line treatments. READ MORE

  4. 4. Pharmacometric Models to Improve the Treatment and Development of Drugs against Tuberculosis

    Author : Robin J. Svensson; Ulrika S H Simonsson; Mats O Karlsson; Andreas Krause; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Pharmacokinetics; Pharmacodynamics; Biomarkers; Rifampicin; Clofazimine; Therapeutic drug monitoring; Time-to-event; Time-to-positivity; Molecular bacterial load assay; Farmaceutisk vetenskap; Pharmaceutical Science;

    Abstract : With 10 million new infections yearly, tuberculosis has a major impact on the human well-being of the world. Most patients have infections susceptible to a first-line treatment with a treatment success rate of 80%, a number that can potentially be improved by optimising the first-line treatment. READ MORE
