1. Three dimensional mathematical modelling of pronuclei migration for the mouse
Abstract : The main question addressed in this thesis is what happens between the moment when the sperm enters the egg and the fusion of the male and the female pronuclei. Orientation of the apposing pronuclei most likely plays a decisive role in the polarity of the developing embryo. READ MORE

2. Contributions to Numerical Solution of Stochastic Differential Equations
Abstract : This thesis consists of four papers: Paper I is an overview of recent techniques in strong numerical solutions of stochastic differential equations, driven by Wiener processes, that have appeared the last then 10 years, or so. Paper II studies theoretical and numerical aspects of stochastic differential equations with so called volatility induced stationarity. READ MORE

3. Complexity and Error Analysis of Numerical Methods for Wireless Channels, SDE, Random Variables and Quantum Mechanics
Abstract : This thesis consists of the four papers which consider different aspects of stochastic process modeling, error analysis, and minimization of computational cost. In Paper I, we construct a Multipath Fading Channel (MFC) model for wireless channels with noise introduced through scatterers flipping on and off. READ MORE

4. Runtime Monitoring for Safe Automated Driving Systems
Abstract : Mass-produced passenger vehicles are one of the greatest inventions of the 20th century that significantly changed human lives. Several safety measures such as traffic signs, traffic lights, mandatory driver education, seat belts, airbags, and anti-lock braking systems were introduced throughout the years. READ MORE

5. Mechanical behaviour of a roller bearing steel : Strength differential effect, low temperature creep and propagation of short cracks
Abstract : Fatigue cracks in bearings either initiate from the surface or from an inclusion below the rolling contact surface. Then, short cracks start to propagate. Short crack grow at considerably faster rates than long cracks subjected to a nominally equivalent stress intensity factor range. READ MORE
