6. Thermal response test : numerical simulations and analyses
Abstract : When constructing large borehole heat exchanger (BHE) systems, bedrock and borehole thermal properties are vital for a good design. Today's design programs presume conductive heat transfer in both borehole and bedrock. READ MORE

7. Thermal response tests : influence of convective flow in groundwater filled borehole heat exchanger
Abstract : The main objective of this doctorial thesis was to investigate how thermally induced movements in the groundwater (natural convective flow) may influence the heat transport in borehole and surrounding bedrock in a groundwater filled borehole heat exchanger system. The purpose was also to determine if thermal response tests could be used to detect the convective influence and the effect on evaluated heat transfer parameters, effective bedrock thermal conductivity and borehole thermal resistance. 8. Computer Modelling of the Interaction between Water and Complex Solid Phases
Abstract : In this work the program package PASSIPHIC is described. The program has been developed to calculate the equilibrium for an aqueous phase in contact with a complex solid. The complex solid is considered as consisting of pure minerals and /or solid solutions. Cement has been used as an example. READ MORE

9. Unsaturated Phase Environmental Processes in MSWI Bottom Ash
Abstract : Every year, Sweden produces 1.5 million tons of incineration residues from waste to energy plants. Among these residues bottom ash(BA) due to its large volume and good geotechnical quality can be reused as an alternative construction material. READ MORE

10. Plant-availability of phosphorus removed from wastewater by different processes
Abstract : The objective of this thesis was to investigate the plant-availability of P removed from wastewater by different processes, with focus on agronomic aspects. Short-term P availability was assessed by greenhouse studies, utilizing four different filter substrates and a sludge-recovered iron phosphate. READ MORE
