11. Structural and dynamical basis of NusA´s role in transcription-coupled DNA repair
Abstract : DNA repair processes involves a host of repair machineries that are able to recognize and repair the damaged DNA. Nucleotide excision repair (NER) pathway is one of these processes exploited by cells to remove bulky DNA lesions. READ MORE

12. Modeling and Analysis of Wideband Sigma-Delta Noise Shapers
Abstract : The continuous evolution of CMOS technologies towards deepsubmicron processes has provided new opportunities forintegration of mixed-signal systems on single monolithicintegrated circuits. In order to find the optimal usage of CMOStechnology and robustness against undesired mixed-signalcouplings, new approaches to CMOS front-end integration areneeded. READ MORE

13. Porous Silicon -an enzyme coupling matrix for micromachined reactors
Abstract : The development of a miniaturised silicon wafer integrated enzyme reactor is described. The reactor was micromachined by anisotropic wet etching of (110) silicon. The enzyme glucose oxidase (GOx) was coupled to the reactor surface with standard methods of immobilising enzyme to silica. READ MORE

14. Protonmotive coupling of energy conversion processes in photosyntetic bacteria : studies on membrane energization and photophosphorylation capacity
Abstract : This work is a study on the membrane-bound inorganic pyrophosphatase and other energylinkedenzymes in the chromatophores from the photosynthetic bacterium Rhodospirillum rubrum. The membrane-bound inorganic pyrophosphatase is functionally similar to the well-known FiF0-ATP synthase. 15. Silicon device substrate and channel characteristics influenced by interface properties
Abstract : This thesis is divided in two parts, one dealing with the depleted Si/Si structure, which is a substrate behaving as a semi-insulating material intended for radio-frequency applications and the other concerning high-k gate dielectrics (dielectrics with high dielectric constant) as the replacement for silicon dioxide as MOS gate dielectric.High frequency applications of CMOS integrated circuits, to lower cost, achieve higher performance and richer functionality, depends partly on the possibility to decrease the substrate coupling between different parts of the circuit.
